Evidently I have to do this since I asked [profile] yavannie77 to do me answer these questions.

Comment to this post, and I will

1. Tell you why I friended you.
2. Associate you with something - fandom, a song, a color, a photo, a word etc.
3. Tell you something I like about you.
4. Tell you a memory I have of you.
5. Ask something I've always wanted to know about you.
6. Tell you my favorite user pic of yours.
7. In return, post this in your LJ.

Juuri tuollaisia kuulisin kovin mielelläni / tarvitsisin juuri tällä hetkellä :-) (ks. sunnuntain merkintäni...)

2. Hame. Kaunis, pitkä hame. On the top of my head, this one.

5. By not taking no for an answer. ;-)

Asia pihvi. Ymmärrä siis olevasi lupautunut osallistumaan johonkin tulevaan tapahtumaan kartallisena asiantuntijana! :D

You don't know me, but give it a try! Everything is worth trying except Turun sinappi (nowadays) and reading Jordan.

1. Bad one. And doubly so, because I hadn't friended you before! But that's no longer the case!
2. Green? I have this picture in my mind about this beautiful woman in velvety (?) green gown.
3. This dislike of Jordan? :) No, I recall you as someone who seemed to be very active and accomplishing member of TSFS at some point in time. I like people who are active in fandom and get things done. This pretty much goes to all four (dare I say it?) first posters so far.
4. Sorry to be vague, but it has to be the green dress thing all over again.
5. So, why SF/F and fandom in general?
6. Ack! There seems to be a right flood of those to choose from. After careful consideration, I choose... "Hääkuva". "Pupu" is kewl, too.

1. Thank you. I always thought you have enough lj friends and you didn't want to friend people who are not familiar enough to you. And I didn't want to pushy. : )
2. Gee, thanks. And I still got that dress. Thanks to the material, it stretches and I even used it as a maternity dress when heavily pregnant in Turku Medieval Market in 2003.
5. SF/F is tough to explain. Why some people play icehockey? Why some read Arto Paasilinna's works over and over again. SF/F is just something I like. Something that gives me a lot. Something that keeps me going. The fandom thing is easier. From fandom I have found people who can be described with every positive adjective there is. They are people with whom I can be myself, talk about things that interest me. And have good parties with!

1. Ah! But how could I have left you unfriended?
2. Good manners prohibit me from answering truthfully, so I play the Knights of St. John -card. I'm currently reading The Religion by Tim Willocks, which is a novel of how summer went by in the small Mediterranean island of Malta in 1565.
3. You seem to be constantly ever so cheerful and smiling. Hard not to like.
4. The opening of Finncon 2003. Sorry, it just went on and on, and mutated into something Way Larger than Life at some point.
5. So, how do you see your future in fandom after you're done with Spin?
6. Another overload. "Crazy", 'cause it's Greg. And again, the "bojoinggg"-bunny is kewl.

2. Oh, great, now I'm going to ponder about the truth for ages. :P (Well, no, I'm not. Good manners are good and the Knights are always appropriate.) The novel sounds very interesting. I haven't had much time to read novels about the Order, but I'll have to give that a try one day.
4. *snort* I've heard this before. Sorry about that. I suppose I wanted to be polite in all three languages of the con. I won't do that in 2011. I promise. (I could consider being rude in three languages?) Someone else is going to have to do the opening thing. (But you know, first Eurocon in Finland - it was Big. At least for us back then. And for me.)
5. More relaxed? Ah, but no. Unfortunately I see myself getting heavily involved with Finncon 2011. And I'll keep writing "freelancer" stuff, when I finally have time from the Big G. :)

Me too!

1. You used to be KaisaW! Isn't that enough?
2. I could be obvious here and mention Han Solo and Harrison Ford and Star Wars and that Kotipelto dude, but I think I'll just say red wine.
3. Determination and that sense of "knowing" what you're doing and where to go from where you are.
4. You may not remember (or even know) this, but you were the first ever Mundane - Правда subscriber, but if my memory is correct, we never sent you the zine! Apologies for that, perhaps...
5. What is the world it is about Star Wars?
6. The smiling "Kaisa".

And of course the correct question is: "What IN the world it is about Star Wars?". Proceed.

Kiitos! :)

4. Kyllä mä muistan! Itse asiassa meinasin laittaa tän siihen muistoja susta -kohtaan, mutta sitten rupesin epäröimään, koska muistikuvani tuosta ko. tapahtumasta on aika hämärä.

1. I need to keep eye on our ex-tenant! :)
2. It used to be booksies, now it's them Asian boys and their shenanigans.
3. You're giddy (and admittedly sometimes scary) enthusiasm when you get REALLY excited about something. Like this Asian-thing now and Bollywood before that.
4. I distincly remember how relieved and happy you were when you finally got your own place after all that waiting.
5. So, how was it living so long with us?
6. Ah yes, one of THESE multiple choice adventures. I think I'll go with "Spike shiny!".

1. Thanks.
3. Yes, I do tend to get a bit obsessed with things :).
5. Of course it was somewhat uncomfortable to be an extra intruder in someone else's home, but still I guess the time wasn't too bad. After all, you two are wonderful people and we are still on speaking terms even after after all that :).

I hope that I will not have a work shift on the day you move so that I can come and help!

I don't know whether "hop" is English or Finnish, so I'll use... this one.

1. The usual, curiosity. And friendship in real life.
2. Quietness. Your speech is almost whisper at times, which I remember bothering me from time to time at the Legolas-meetings. Not the voice, no, but the fact that your words were often lost under the general chatter. THAT was bothering me.
3. There is some kind almost sage-like aura around you. And I really like that bewildered look you have, when you hear something you didn't know or expect. Eyes open even larger than usual and head twiches just the fraction.
4. A long discussion about the merits of certain two books regarding the possibility of rewarding one of them.
5. What was your initial reaction and feelings when you were asked to start reviewing for Tähtivaeltaja? And a follow-up: when you were asked to join the Tähtivaeltaja Award jury.
6. Ah, reasonable amount of these in a while! "Pakerrus", I hadn't noticed this one before.

2. I know I know. This used to be better when I was still working in a pharmacy (I needed even the deafest old ladies to hear me), but has steadily deteriorated since.

5. I was terribly flattered by both (I'm sure this is a slightly embarrassing thing to admit). I wondered on what merits I'd been invited in (and still do, somewhat). I try to be useful in these positions and occasionally doubt it.

Jajamensan. :)

1. You are my wife's twin sister! Isn't that reason enough?
2. Being Sillilly Swedish. Endearing qualities that confirm your siblingness with Sari.
3. That !happy, happy, joy, joy! -attitude we've so often seen at conventions. You're fun to be around with.
4. Eating breakfast with Myy. Please, come again and stay the night, you and your charming hubsand! In few weeks we'll have a proper guest room, with a sofa that turns into a bed!
5. So librarian..., who or what is the coolest Librarian in the world?
6. Default goes to Mörkö.

Wheee :-)

From: [identity profile] jlms.livejournal.com
1 It is. But it would have been even better if you'd said "My dear sister-in-law... and now as dear to me as a sister ever could be". (Ask Sari, she'll know.)

4. With pleasure! (And with the husband.)

5. Hmmm. There are some cool fictional librarians. The one in The Mummy, or The Librarian (ook) for instance. But if we go for real librarians, I'll have to nominate those who, like these (http://www.rawstory.com/news/2006/Gagged_librarians_break_silence_on_Patriot_0531.html), defy the patriot act which is a thing of Evil.
